Jeeez, small aircraft, white wîth wings but on a slight ascent with the sun hitting it, looks like a b & w missile
Well, it's been a little while. Got here. And got to work just as soon as I could. Only happy working!
Strange drive over. 'til I hit home mts then I get in olympic mode driving this truck
Right. I'll tell you. I saved all rcpts, though some of the dates on those are incorrect.

Cha, been sleeping good thnx to Walmart's safety for rvs and tired drivers. Need a shower, that'll be sweeter than wipes.
So, all was well on trip over until that damned hwy construction. Same thing happened return trip to see dad, hwy confusion put me all the way into knightdale. Used my sackajahweeahs to get nuff oil and turned back towards apex.
To here I stopped at a shell and got full tank from half for the haul over. Was taking secondary cuz truck doesn't like to go over 50-55. Then no choice but 40.
So before too far off course pulled off found gas station; a man inside who drives truck took the time to look at map with me and tell me a safe way to go. I snagged a piece of rcpt paper from the closed counter and wrote down the directions. Turned out I was in Salisbury NC at the speedway on east innes st, 500 east innes, 704-645-0677. Went Mahalley towards Statesville, 77N, to 40.
Got it up to about 52, then heard an awful noise. Immediately pulled over. Truck resting on inside of tire rim, all lug nuts gone on that wheel, and one missing on rear wheel opposite. I didn't know what was wrong until a flat bed pulled up, towards another vehicle on the side of the road, and a man named Montey looked at the wheel all crooked, and told me what it looked like. He gave me his business number if I couldn't get help from Triple A, to call him.
Called Triple A. From there was better and better, tho it took the rest of my dishwashing money. So much for Monday morning too.
Guy named Mo came and got truck on flatbed. Took me and patrick-- that's my pick up truck's name--to M&M Sales and Service. Now, it was a Sunday so I could've been on side of highway 'til Monday. Like the NC DMV, so short-staffed, people better not need to be on a schedule here in the south, region.
Mo's wife had just got back from church and was kind enough to give me a lift to auto parts stores for nuts and studs. I gave her a few bucks for the gas. Apparently her people all use her car for work so she'd had to get new tires not long ago too. Meanwhile Mo of M&M on Old Mt Rd, Statesville, NC and some Sunday buddies called locals to see if anybody had plain 17" steel rims. This truck--somebody put blingy aluminum vision rims on. I was so tired by the end of that day I slept near a Home Run and ate boiled peanuts. Those are good.
So M&M assisted me and I bought a good spare! Next day I didn't want to make my drive all messed up and stressful by driving on one fat tire and only three new. So I waited around a Wendy's til open, got my daily two fer $3, and figured out how to buy a tire using a digital approach. The professionals at Sig's' website got back to me right away. And gave me directions, so I was off to there. At least I was back amongst country people and not just vending machines at a rest area.
I only had one "option" to wait for the rim dealer to come from somewhere else in the state, and for Sig's to put my 4th new tire back on. I took the time to reorganize my stuff. While it was in the parking lot, lots of drivebys, people asking, for sale?
Me? No never.
It was a good thing I'd gotten gas and brought some instant coffee and canned goods because that was the end of the travel money!
Like I told my family, right now it's seasonal work, maybe a slow move to Knoxville. I've always loved this city.
Naw, I can't do pigeon forge right now, I've committed to a job I love at Shoney's.
More of a panda than a pigeon anyway; fighting just the same for to maintain decency in an American way of life.
End o' saga.
